Navigating What’s Next: FFSP Returns with Career Transition Series in March 2026

Following the resounding success of its career workshops in 2025, Commander, Navy Installations Command’s (CNIC) Fleet and Family Support Program (FFSP) is preparing to launch the next installment of its highly anticipated Career Transition Series, March 16 to 19, 2026. The series is designed to provide essential, expert led classes for service members, spouses and veterans who are navigating career changes or retirement.  

"Seeing the high level of engagement from attendees in 2025 was the best confirmation we could ask for. People are genuinely eager to use these tools," stated Ebonie Powe, Family Employment Readiness Program (FERP) Analyst for CNIC and a key coordinator for the series. "Offering this extensive schedule is a powerful way to add value to our service members and families' lives, and our entire team is excited about the momentum we're building." 

The March series will build on this momentum by delivering an even more comprehensive set of topics. It has been specifically designed for current job seekers, with experts leading more than 20 sessions on a wide range of relevant topics. Key sessions will include topics such as: 

  • The "Transferable Skills" workshop will help participants identifytranslate and market their transferable skillsessential for career mobility.  

  • The "Mastering the Civilian Resume" class will provide attendees with essential strategies to draft a powerful resume that captures the attention of potential private sector employers. 

  • The Conquering Civilian Interviews training will help attendees with techniques and strategies to stand out in today's competitive job market. 

Beyond the workshops, the series will continue to spotlight vital resources, creating invaluable opportunities for both support and professional networking. The goal is to provide a holistic toolkit for career readiness. "Whether you are just starting to think about your next chapter or you are deep in the job hunt, this series is for you," Powe concluded.
