Washington --- Navy Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) is a pivotal quality of life program, playing a crucial role in supporting the well-being of Sailors, veterans, retirees and Department of Defense (DoD) civilians, as well as their families. This summer, the Navy MWR's Entertainment Program is excited to announce the launch of Operation MWR, presented by GOVX. This resiliency initiative is designed to celebrate and support the continuous commitment of the Navy community.
“We understand the unique pressures our military personnel and their families face and our goal and commitment to our Sailors, reservists, families and civilians with Operation MWR is to provide a respite from daily challenges, creating memorable experiences. We want to enhance the spirits and resilience of our Navy family during stress reduction month" said Leslie Gould, Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) Fleet and Family Readiness Director. "With more than 65 events lined up, our Operation MWR initiative also reinforces our commitment to fostering a supportive community and improving the quality of life for our Sailors."
"This initiative is more than just entertainment; it's a vital mission to enhance morale, resilience and readiness," said Lisa Sexauer, Fleet and Family Readiness MWR Director. "Our slogan, 'We've Got Your Six,' represents our commitment to their well-being and readiness."
